The "2018 Abacus-Mathematics and Mental Arithmetic Competition: Canada" was held at the Taipei Economic Culture Centre on October 28, 2018.

 

Heartfelt thanks to our organizer, the International Abacus Education Research Institute (I.A.E.R.I.), all the teachers and participating students, who made this event a big success!

The students from Markham Abacus achieved remarkable success at the competition. With 22 students entered in the competition,

 

  •    3 students won the  1st  place in their level

  •    1 student won the  2nd place in his level

  •    3 students won the 3rd place in their level

  •    2 students won the 4th place in their level

  •    4 students won the 5th place in their level

A special mention goes to:

  •    Carson Yang, who places first overall in Level 7

  •    Thinegini Kuhanesan, who placed first overall in Level 8

  •    Evelyne Wang, who places first overall in Level 9

 

We would also like to thank all the students who participated in this year’s competition. We are proud of your achievements, regardless of your placement, and believe this experience is invaluable towards your academic growth and development.
